Aurora Loan Services is said to be one of the best mortgage providers in the residential of United States. It started during the 2nd half of the 19th century with its main office in Littleton, Colorado. It has several divisions such as wholesale lending, conduit lending, and master division. It was once owned by the Lehman brothers before they declared their bankruptcy on September 15, 2008. Aurora Loan Services managed to survive over the continuing sub prime mortgage crisis. They went through a wave of crisis considering their loss of trained staffs to handle the situation. Foreclosures went on and on but still they managed to handle their angry consumers. HAMP which stands for Home Affordable Modification Program takes over the crisis as being mandated by the government. The program is designed to protect the consumers but as foreclosure crisis went on, it became more beneficial for the Aurora Loan Services and not on consumers.
When HAMP took effect as ordered by President Obama, Aurora Loan Services offered different programs for their consumers such as Repayment Plan, Loan Modification, Pre- foreclosure Sale (Short Sale) and Deed-in-Lieu of Foreclosure. The program will depend on the consumer’s financial situation. It is created to assist consumers from avoiding the loss of their property or minimize the impact of their credit rating. Different workout package are available for you to decide what plan is suitable for you. You may ask assistance from them if you are having trouble choosing which workout package you might qualify. Requirements are stated under each workout package and you will be asked to fax these documents after gathering all the necessary requirements.
During this time of foreclosure crisis, many scams have sprung out, offering services to save the consumers property. Aurora Loan Services is not involved into this and they must first check the credibility of the company or the person offering this kind of service. The state law may have required anyone to offer this type of service to help the consumers but they are prohibited to take any amount unless they have completed the services they have promised to give their consumers.
